Flamingo.

Hello again!

The other day my mother and I went into Peacocks and I immediately fell in love with this shirt. Now, don't judge me but it was in the Men's section. *Gasp*. But, apparently wearing women wearing men's clothes is so hot right now.

Oooh, and also in the Men's section I am a Small. Success!

I will of course be borrowing the Hawaiian shirt my mum and I bought for us . . . him . . .

Art = done!

Hello, Hello!

It has been a long time since my last post but I have been very busy, you know with GCSEs and whatnot and such-like.

However, I have finished my art project of Work, Rest and Play and I have complete my final piece! Hurrah!! Soo....here is my final piece....

(unfortunately you will have to tilt you head sideways ...)

Ok. I know what you're thinking. 1) Its rubbish and 2) What even is it?
Well, 1) Yes it is rubbish and 2) It is a mixture of work and rest. I took a photograph of an industrial building and drew it and cut out the shapes using a cutting knife. Then, I took different colours from magazines and stuck them behind it. It sounded a good idea and I'm not too happy with it, but its not the worst thing you've ever seen . . .
. . . hopefully. . .

Art = life

Hola!

I'm sure you don't know that I am a GCSE Art student (love saying that) and we are currently working on a new project in my class, entitled 'Work, Rest and Play' set by my art teacher. I love art so much, and it is the only homework I enjoy doing, as it is creative, exciting and I can listen to Glee/Disney/Musical songs at the same time!

I thought it would be interesting to post photos of my work on here, so I can see my progression throughout the topic of work, resulting in a Final Piece. Some of my work is better than others, as I am experimenting so please bare with me.

Ok, so I only have the work in my sketchbook but this is my progression so far, from oldest (bottom) to newest (top):

This work is two images layered on top of one another. The background was a photo I took of a factory, and the fence is a different photo with the background cut out, and placed on top.

The image below is a photo I took of a mill, and the above artwork is my study of it using magazine cuttings.
